Summing It All Up

23.9 million meals packaged by 141,987 volunteers. That’s what we’ve been up to since our first packaging event on December 29, 2009.
In 2010, we blew the roof off as a coast-to-coast volunteer food packaging phenomenon by packaging and shipping 20 million meals for Haiti. Our second year of full operation added new dimensions to Numana. Volunteer empowerment and the focus of sending meals to save the starving have been paramount. All of our stats reflect steady growth, and we’re growing in other ways as well. Numana has launched new programs and ideas to help redefine the conversation around hunger and we’re providing opportunities for involvement beyond food packaging. We’re working to keep the interaction and engagement high and expand the awareness of world wide and local hunger.

We’re empowering caring volunteers to be aware, take action, and engage in advocacy on behalf of the hungry and the invitation is wide open for others to join us.
Next week, we will announce another new Numana initiative to provide even more opportunities to be involved. Watch for the news and please tell others about Numana so they may join us in this important work.
